Candid Recommendations: Bon Weekend Kit from Sampar Paris

You know how they say all good things come in small packages? That rule is kept to the tee when it comes to the Bon Weekend (Good Weekend) Kit from Sampar Paris. As a girl who's always on-the-go, I've been known to carry the full-size versions of my favorite products. (Since I'm always testing this or that, I like to use a fresh canvas!)

Sampar Paris has made it extra easy for any gal about town to tote around the essentials...

  • Velvet Cleansing Milk
  • Skin Quenching Mist
  • Equalizing Foam Peel
  • Ultra Hydrating Fluid
  • Nocturnal Lifting Mask

Each product has this amazing rose scent that's not too overbearing. Cleanse, hydrate, and renew your skin anytime or anywhere!

Available at 3Graces.com and Beauty360 stores for $18-25.

Red, White, & Blue in the Face: Independence Day Beauty Picks

As everyone gets ready for this weekend's festivities, I'm sad to say I haven't even found something I want to wear. I'm thinking a fun dress and wedges duo but haven't gotten the time to look! C'est la vie! Whenever I don't have the time to snag something new and fun to wear, I always rely on makeup to play my look up a bit!

The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer

This all purpose powder comes in pearlescent ivory shade and can be considered quite the triple threat. Use it as an eyeshadow, a highlighter, or even just to add a little shimmer to your look. Plus it's smooth powder formula allows for easy application - especially for those on-the-go touch ups.

I wondered where I'd be able to fit blue into my look and when I stumbled upon this polish, all questions were answered! Fresh, bright, and oh so patriotic!

Dior's Serum De Rouge Luminous Color Lip Treatment

Image Courtesy of Sephora.comI'm torn. I love lipstick but NEED the moisturizing powers of lip balm! Fortunately, Dior has answered my wishes with this bad boy. Equal parts lip-saver and punch of color, my shade of choice is their new Red Serum #850. Did I mention it's packed with mango butter and is also SPF 20?

What are your favorite holiday-hued beauty picks? Please share! I love an excuse to try something new!

Shady Lady? Sunscreens that Beat the Heat

I know I talk on behalf of most New Yorkers when I say it's time for the sun ot come out and play! Big Apple weather has gone up and down - fluctuating like a girl who can't make up her mind. When it's nice, it's NICE and when it's bad oh it's so so bad. I'm left freaming of thew arm welcoming rays of sun as I sit in the house to protect myself from the rain. April showers right?

Well May is right around the corner and I can not wait to bust out those summer sandals. A pretty pedicure just looks so right in cork wedgies - don't you agree? So besides stocking up on a cute summer wardrobe, I'm also investing in an extremely important must-have for the heat: sunscreen. It's absolutely crucial for sunscreen to be added into every woman's beauty regimen. The heat is fabulous but it's excess baggage - not so much! While I'm already tan, it's still ery easy for me to burn. I stick to sunscreens that are at least SPF 25 and above. Fair skin? The more SPF the better!

It can get pretty tricky picking sunscreens, so allow me to assist you..

No Time?

Juice Beauty is one of my favorite brands because they use 100% organic ingredients. It makes no sense to use more chemicals to protect right? This moisturizer goes on SO light, you won't believe it's SPF 30. Both paraben and toxin free, it's chockfull of antioxidants, Vitamin C, and other skin-nourishing goodness. All with an organic juice base! Did I mention it's certified organic by the USDA.

Double Trouble?

Remember, sunscreen isn't only fantastic for your skin but the rest of your body as well! Every girl loves a gorgeous tan but the health of your skin isn't work compromising either. Somme Institute has made it extra easy for you to protect all the way from your smile to your toes with their Double Defense Face and Body SPF 30. Lightweight (always a plus) and waterproof, their advanced MDT5 (Molecular Dispersion Technology) is this sick mix of 5 vitamin compounds all aiming to protect certain areas within the skin. Plus it's won't clog your pores and it's super hydrating.

Must Buy!

Los Angeles native, Arcona is known for being a piorneer in the area of holistic skin care. Their Reozone 40 is a favorite of mine since it protects from both UVA/UVB rays. Plus, it's water resistant and oil free - amazing right? It won a place on my top three because for all it does, it's feather-light and has just the right amount of tint. Oh, as if you weren't sold already - Reozone guards against future sun damage and aids in neutralizing free radicals.
