Tweet-Cap!

What happens when you take a group of fabulous women, yummy cocktails, and mouth-watering munchies?  A Purple Lab Tweet-Up, of course!  The beauty brand that’s changing the way anyone does things is having a series of monthly Lychee Martini Cocktail parties.  At each ‘Tweet-Up’, Creatrix, Karen Robinovitz, opens up her gorgeous home to meet and mingle with a few of her ‘Tweinds’ (friends from Twitter - in case you didn’t know!).

For this evening, we were all on the roof as we sipped delicious Lychee Martinis - compliments of Zodiac Vodka.  Harvard (our witty bartender) even showed us a quick and fun recipe on how to make the scrumptious drinks!  I didn’t know that adding a bit of Black Currant liquor to a Lychee Martini could make it taste even better - if that was at all possible.  Of course all that sipping and socializing got us hungry! Luckily New York Hotdog & Coffee gave us quite the feast!  New York Hotdog & Coffee is a great new restaurant that mixes old-time American classics with a bit of a Korean twist.  My personal favorite was the Bulgogi hotdog - which was a mix of sesame, pickles, a spicy (not too bad though!) hot dog, and on top.. marinated Korean beef!  How could you say no to that?  Another good bite was their light and crispy french fries - fried til just golden-brown.  What’s my hotdog without some fries right?

After the munching and talking about boys (haha), Karen had a very special treat!  She had invited ritualist, Barbara Biziou, to do an amazing prosperity ritual with us.  Barbara is a dear friend to Karen and also the woman who married her and Todd.  The ritual was truly an engaging experience and made me feel as if a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

What I learned:  Life will always bring you to bumps in the road.  As people we strengthen ourselves to be able to take the bumps and continue down the road to success and prosperity.

Once again, thank you to Karen Robinovitz and Purple Lab for having us, Zodiac Vodka for the drinks, NY Hotdog & Coffee for feeding us, & Barbara Biziou for enlightening us.
