Current Obsession: LUSH's Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

I’ve always been a fan of LUSH -- who wouldn’t be?  Completely natural products made fresh for you -- does anyone see a flaw?  LUSH has made products that are perfect for those with extremely sensitive skin or those who are allergic to synthetic materials (chemicals, preservatives, etc.).  Whenever I’m passing a LUSH store on the street, it’s practically impossible for me to walk by without stopping in at least for a moment.  The scents that drift through the air are like a siren’s call that I can’t help but heed.

Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

Recently, I stopped in and checked out their Bye Bye Blemishes Collection - which includes the Cupcake Fresh Face Mask.  After using it twice, I have to say - I’m obsessed.  The mask is made with a rhassoul mud base that acts as a deep cleanser; working wonderfully to combat breakouts.  Glycerine and Fair Trade coca butter is then added to soften and reduce moisture loss; which keeps the skin from losing hydration.  And just to make things a bit sweeter -- there’s peppermint, sandalwood and spearmint oils to calm and settle irritated skin.  Each Fresh Face Mask is made fresh for you and lasts about 3 weeks if kept cool when not in use.

I applied it to clean skin and the first thing I noticed was the mouth-watering smell.  Literally, I wanted to peel off my skin and eat it!  It’s this amazingly refreshing mint-chocolate scent.  The directions say to keep it out of the eyes and mouth and believe me it was hard to keep from eating it!  Awhile after smoothing it on your face, you’ll notice your skin getting a bit tighter; which is expected from a facial.

While the lady at LUSH said the mask was ideal for congested skin (mine isn’t - thank God), it still did wonders for me!  After leaving it on for about 15 minutes, I rinsed it off and noticed that my skin felt tighter, smoother, and appeared to be brighter!  I was stuck touching my skin for 5 minutes after -- amazed at how nice it felt!  As much as I love days at the spa, I love how easy LUSH makes it for me to unwind and relax a little in the convenience of my own home.  And for $7.95, it’s definitely budget-friendly beauty!  LUSH has an entire line of fresh products for every part of your body - check them out online or at LUSH store near you!

* Get the Cupcake Mask at any LUSH store but it’s not available online due to how fresh the product is.

thanks for the tip! ever since a trip to london i've fallen in love with lush products, but am always skeptical to using new and fragrant products on my face. with your approval i'll have to try now!

I agree! I was lucky enough to bump into this store when I was in Las Vegas recently. The Cupcake mask is amazing as you say!

i LOVE the the cupcake fresh face mask! i suffer from moderate acne and this has helped so much to calm my skin. it is for dry to normal skin, which is perfect for me, but my friend with oily skin used it and she said it worked wonders for her skin as well. i use this in addition to LUSH's "angels on bare skin" (:
